Picture this: a place where the walking trails lead to friendship, porch lights stay on a little longer, and your morning coffee comes with a side of conversation. That’s the vision behind The 1824 – a new 2.5-acre social hub coming soon to Austin Point.
Expected to open early Spring, The 1824 will feature imaginative outdoor spaces, year-round programming, and a 2,800-square-foot building with Honor Society Coffee Co. as its exclusive food and beverage partner.
It’s more than an amenity, The 1824 is the beating heart of early community life at Austin Point. This is where residents can meet for concerts, coffee dates, impromptu playdates, happy hour, or just to catch their breath.
Sounds exciting, right? There’s more!

A Place Where Life Happens
The 1824 is a vibrant destination that reflects Austin Point’s bigger vision for walkable, connected living. Residents and visitors will enjoy:
- Year-round events and programming
- An outdoor concert and event lawn
- Play hills for kids and open spaces for games and fitness
- Food truck court
- Nature trails, a creek, and sustainable landscaping
- Remote workspaces and free community Wi-Fi
- Custom furnishings from local makers like Mercy Goods
As Jeff Dewese, senior vice president, land division of The Signorelli Company, puts it: “The 1824 isn’t just an amenity – it’s civic infrastructure. It’s the connective tissue between homes, people, and ecosystems. Public space is the wisest investment we can make in a lasting community.”

Introducing Honor Society at The 1824
Beloved Tomball-based coffee roaster and community café Honor Society Coffee Co. is bringing its first-ever expansion to Austin Point. Known for its warm hospitality and renowned coffee cake, Honor Society will operate a full-service café offering craft coffee, specialty drinks, beer and wine, fresh salads, paninis, and grab-and-go items. Founders Billy and JoJo Schiel are passionate about building community, and The 1824 is the perfect place to do just that.
“We aren’t here to create a culture at Austin Point,” says Billy Schiel. “We want to provide a space where culture can exist and thrive. Every cup of coffee can be a reminder for people to slow down, connect, and feel like they belong.”

A Place for Everyone
Located near the first 421 homes at Austin Point in Phase One, The 1824 is designed to be a gathering point for all. Whether you’re stopping by for coffee, attending an event, or enjoying a walk through nature, The 1824 invites you to experience what it means to live in a place built around people.
And this is just the beginning.
“From the start, we envisioned The 1824 as a catalyst for daily life and a place where unscripted moments could build lifelong relationships,” said Dewese. “It’s a place where neighbors become friends and families become a community.”
We can’t wait to welcome you.
