Some communities take years to feel alive. At Austin Point, that moment arrived on March 28 when nearly 700 people came together for Paint This Town Red, a free public festival celebrating the community’s Phase One grand opening.
Families explored the event lawn, kids darted between games and activities, and visitors lined up to try the community’s newest café – Honor Society at The 1824. For many, it was the first time seeing Austin Point in person. Fort Bend County’s largest master planned community to be announced in over 40 years is no longer just a vision. It’s a real place where life is already beginning to unfold.
The Social Heart of Phase One
At the center of the celebration was The 1824, a 2,800-square-foot building that opens onto a surrounding 2.5-acre civic green designed for live music, outdoor play, and everyday gathering.

Throughout the afternoon, The 1824 was buzzing with activity and exploration. Parents paused to watch their kids scramble up the play hill. Friends settled into shaded seating areas. First-time visitors got a feel for how concerts, coffee runs, and casual afternoons can become part of everyday life here.
“We designed Austin Point around the idea that great communities start with places where people can naturally come together on day one,” said Jeff Dewese, President of the Land Division for The Signorelli Company. “Welcoming 700 people to experience Austin Point firsthand was incredibly special. This was the public unveiling of The 1824 – a space we always intended to be the front porch of the community – and watching it come to life on day one with current residents and first-time visitors all gathered together is a memory our team will never forget.”

First Sips and First Impressions
The festival also marked the sneak peek of Honor Society at The 1824, the newest café location from Tomball-based Honor Society Coffee Co.
Guests were among the first to try the menu, which includes craft espresso drinks, specialty beverages, paninis, coffee cake, and grab-and-go bites. All day long, people lined up to get their first taste, savoring the flavors and the moments on The 1824’s spacious covered patio.

Honor Society at The 1824 brings a true everyday destination to Austin Point. It’s easy to imagine how this space will evolve over time – morning coffee runs, midday catchups, working remotely with a drink in hand, or winding down in the evening with friends.
If the festival crowd was any indication, this will quickly become one of those cherished places people enjoy returning to.

Views from the Front Porch
Paint This Town Red also gave visitors the chance to step inside Austin Point’s first phase and experience the homes up close. Guests toured all 12 model homes from the nine homebuilders participating in Phase One.

The homes, which range from 1,500 to 4,500 square feet, showcase a wide mix of architectural styles, including Texas Ranch, Mediterranean, Tudor Revival, and Contemporary. Guests were able to witness the wide variety of home styles meant to accommodate people across many life stages and price points.

Phase One will ultimately include 421 total homes, but with 120 (and counting) already complete or in construction, there’s no need to wait. The community’s first residents have already started to settle in.
Something for Everyone
Austin Point’s grand opening brought together residents, prospective homeowners, and the broader Fort Bend County community.

There was live music, beer and margaritas for guests over 21, trackless train rides, golf cart tours to model homes, lawn games, bounce houses, face painting, airbrush tattoos, and interactive stations like a flower bar cart and potted plant decorating. Attendees left their mark on the large Paint This Town Red photo wall, while food trucks and dessert stations kept everyone fueled with BBQ, tacos, pretzels, cotton candy, and playful “cup of dirt” treats.
Visitors who toured all 12 model homes also had the chance to enter a $5,000 grand prize drawing toward the purchase of a new home at Austin Point, adding one more reason to explore everything Phase One has to offer.

The Beginning of Something Bigger
Paint This Town Red gave hundreds of people a glimpse of what Austin Point is meant to become: a place where homes, public spaces, and everyday destinations work together to create a more connected way of living.
Eventually, Austin Point will be able to support 50,000 residents with 14,000 homes, 1,000 acres of parks and open space, and 1,600 acres of commercial and mixed-use development.
That kind of growth takes time, but for those who attended the grand opening, it was easy to picture how everything will come together. Austin Point already felt active and welcoming. It felt real.
