At Austin Point, community has always been about more than where people live. It’s also about creating the places and experiences that give people reasons to come together. On Saturday, October 24, more than 300 people found a very good reason.

Current residents and visitors from across Greater Houston came together at The 1824, the social heart of Phase One at Austin Point, for our first annual Austin Point Autumn Fest. A typical Saturday afternoon was transformed into a vibrant, all-ages celebration filled with live music, carnival games, local food, a pumpkin patch, model home tours, and more.

A Little Competition, A Lot of Autumn Fun

There was no shortage of ways to get into the spirit of the season. Austin Point’s pumpkin patch quickly became one of the day’s go-to photo spots, while red-and-white carnival tents stretched across The 1824’s event lawn with games and activities that kept people moving from one experience to the next.

Guests decorated pumpkins, tried their luck at carnival games, and climbed aboard stick horses for a little friendly competition. Face painting added another splash of color to the festivities, while the bounce house proved especially popular with younger attendees.

The afternoon was active, but never hurried. Everyone could easily jump into a game, find something to eat, listen to music, or simply settle in and enjoy the fall atmosphere surrounding them. It was the kind of easy rhythm that The 1824 was designed to support: a place where there is always something happening, but also plenty of reason to stay awhile and relax.

Good Eats and Live Beats

Oliver Penn provided live music at The Shed, The 1824’s outdoor venue and lawn for concerts and community events. The band created a soulful, upbeat soundtrack that had people dancing throughout the day.

Honor Society at The 1824 kept guests fueled with their irresistible menu of coffee, espresso drinks, and specialty beverages. Food trucks including Big “6” Bar-B-Que, OHMYGOGI!, Mikki’s Soul Food Café, and Rolly’s Rolled Ice Cream offered a variety of delicious food options for everyone to enjoy.

Wherever guests turned, there was something to catch their attention. As they moved between food, music, and activities, they crossed paths with one another, exchanging friendly greetings with new faces or catching up with friends and neighbors along the way.

Feeling at Home in Every Season

For some guests, the afternoon included another kind of exploring.

Autumn Fest attendees had the opportunity to tour 12 model homes from our Phase One homebuilders for a chance to win $5,000 toward the purchase of a new home. For prospective buyers, the tours added another dimension to the day, giving them a chance to experience the homes while seeing the community around them in action.

But a house is only one part of what makes Austin Point a place to call home. The parks where children play, trails where neighbors intersect, gathering places that become part of a weekly routine, and events that create shared memories all help shape what living here actually feels like.

Going All-In at Austin Point

Autumn Fest was part of All-In Austin Point, our ongoing event series bringing residents and visitors together throughout the year, with more All-In opportunities still to come before 2026 comes to a close.

We started All-In Austin Point because we believe community becomes stronger when people have meaningful reasons to participate in it.

Sometimes that means hundreds of people gathering for a festival. Other times, it might mean bringing smaller groups together over shared interests or new experiences. Every event may look different, but they all serve a larger purpose – to connect people with their neighbors, with the places around them, and with the broader Fort Bend County community.

And there’s plenty more ahead. We don’t spoil the surprises, but our team is already looking forward to 2027, which is shaping up to be a full year of All-In Austin Point. Expect dynamic programming for different ages, interests, seasons, and ways of spending time together, with plenty of opportunities for residents and visitors alike to discover something new.

To everyone who joined us for Austin Point’s first Autumn Fest, thank you for spending your Saturday with us. And to our homebuilders, Honor Society at The 1824, vendors, performers, partners, and everyone who helped bring the day to life, thank you for making the first one so memorable.

Stay tuned for what’s coming in 2027 – and get ready to go All-In at Austin Point.
